COMPETITIVE & SOCIAL PLAY

At Ember there is something for everyone!

For the competitive players a number of ladies’/men’s/mixed teams enter into the various Surrey and NW Surrey individual knock-out competitions. Club players have been very successful in these latter events in recent sessions. Ember teams compete in a number of leagues against other local clubs and we have also been running our own triples competition (the “Coronation Triples”) for local clubs since 1953.

Our many internal club competitions are keenly contested and we run an Evening Mixed Triples league; this has proved to be very popular for members of all standards. Inexperienced bowlers find this an excellent gentle introduction to competitive play.

Ladies’, Men’s and Mixed matches against other local clubs provide regular competitive play in a social atmosphere and these matches are for club players of all abilities.

For the less competitive club members who just enjoy a game with their friends, mix-in “roll-up” sessions are held on several afternoons each week.
